Maach-e Bhaat-e Bangali

Inspired by my dissertation on how food in film can evoke feelings, for my Individual Program of Study in my final year at Camberwell, I intented to not only explore Bengali art house cinema but also the depiction of traditional bengali food and culture. I chose the title ‘Maach-e Bhaat-e Bangali’ as the saying perfectly describes the importance of food within Bengali culture; the idea how fish and rice “makes” a Bengali. Essentially showcasing my culture to a level at which it deserves.
